Results-driven, tenacious education/training and business development professional, with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to grow business internationally in oil and gas, pipelines and corrosion industries. Over 25 years’ experience in global training, project management, accounting and auditing. Built and/or managed five training teams from inception for various organizations, supporting a multitude of educational products.

Currently, Senior Manager, Education Business Development of AMPP, responsible for researching and pursuing new business development educational opportunities, serving multiple industries and market segments.

Previously worked for ASME as Sr. Education Manager for 7 years. Specific industry experience includes: oil and gas, pipelines, corrosion, ocean, offshore, automotive, waste management, information technology, and manufacturing.

Pete Mitchell

Pete Mitchell is the Vice President of New Market Development and Technical Management at GMA Americas. Pete’s industry experience spans over 25 years, is actively involved in several industry-related professional bodies such as ISO, WJTA, AMPP and is NACE CIP 1.

            Matt Nasca is currently a Bridge Painter by trade and has been involved in the Industrial Painting industry professionally since 1988. 

            Matt is certified under the SSPC as a PCI Level 2, a full status CAS and C-3. He is currently a member of the District Council #4 and the Society for Protective Coatings. (SPC)

            Matt Nasca has worked on some very high-profile jobs such as the Verrazano - Narrows Bridge, Ben Franklin Bridge, Francis Scott Key Bridge, Whirlpool Rapids Bridge and Newburgh-Beacon Bridge to name just a few.

            Matt is currently employed by P.S. Bruckel as a super-intendent and makes his home in Hamburg, New York.

Tim Bauman

Project Development Manger- Sherwin Williams

Tim Bauman has been involved in the coatings world for nearly 30 years.  Tim has worked for THE GLIDDEN COMPANY (15 years); PITTSBURG PAINTS (3 years); and THE CARBOLIE COMPANY (8 years).


Tim is a NACE Certified Inspector #7027 and a SSPC Protective Coatings Specialist #246-320-0915.  Tim has also taught the NACE International CIP Level 1 Course.  Tim began his paint career as a professional painter (8 years) in the late 1970's & early 1980's.


Tim has earned a Bachelors degree in Communications in May 1984 with a concentration in Business from John Carroll University (Cleveland, OH) and a MBA from the University of Indianapolis in May 2004.  


Tim is currently a Project Development Manager for Sherwin Williams whose headquarters are in Cleveland, Ohio.  Tim is located in Warrendale PA at Sherwin Williams district Headquarters and covers the states of Pennsylvania, New York & West Virginia.


Tim is married, has two girls & enjoys music, motorcycles & working for Sherwin Williams.


Brian Cheshire
Market Manager

Brian Cheshire is a 19-year veteran in the coatings industry, with time spent at several national coating manufacturers. He is a NACE Level 2 Certified Coating Inspector and is heavily involved with AMPP (both committees and local chapter).  In addition to these affiliations, he is also a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the National Rural Water Association (NRWA), the Water Environment Federation (WEF), the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), as well as the American Concrete Institute (ACI).  As the Market Manager for Water/Wastewater at Carboline, Mr. Cheshire guides the overall market strategy for the company in this key market.  In addition to that, he helps lead the CarboNext program, which aims to educate, connect, support, and engage Young Professionals interested in the coatings and corrosion industry.

Dave Evans, Director of QP and Coatings Credentialing | Business Development for AMPP

Dave Evans is the Director of QP and Coatings Credentialing and Business Development for The Association of Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP).   Dave’s career brings decades of technical expertise working in the protective coatings and corrosion industry using his in-depth knowledge of quality assurance and control processes where he specializes in coating recommendations, specification development, failure analysis, facility audits, and Sales and Marketing from holding senior positions with leading organizations in the coatings field.  He currently manages the QP Accreditation Program in addition to being heavily focused on Business Development and has been working collaboratively across AMPP to drive greater momentum to its core coatings certifications and educational programs.  AMPP and its members have been honored to have Dave which holds NACE CIP III and SSPC PCS credentials, as a NACE CIP instructor for 33 years.  For more information, contact him at dave.evans@ampp.org.
